Mark has worked in the field of intellectual property for over 25 years. His experience has been gained from all angles; first as a Patent Examiner (the Government), then as a Patent Consultant with Sirotech Limited (the Patent Applicant), and finally, as a Patent Attorney in private practice (the IP Professional).
As head of our Life Sciences and Chemistry teams, Mark leads an enthusiastic and technically-strong team who know how to adapt and tailor their services for clients of all shapes and sizes. Their approach to solving problems is to advise clients and not merely provide a list of alternatives, and they all get a “kick” out of knowing that their service has truly helped and been valued.
Mark has been named as a patent “IP Star” for 2015 by the respected international journal, Managing Intellectual Property. In that listing, he received a coveted ✓✓✓ (3 tick) commendation for his patent drafting and prosecution work.
Mark served in the elected position of Councillor of the Institute of Patent and Trade Mark Attorneys of Australia (IPTA) for the period 2009-2012. Mark’s outside interests include English Premier League football (he’s another frustrated, but increasingly optimistic Arsenal fan), English cars and collecting old stuff!
“Mark is pleasant, easy to understand, approachable, responsive, knowledgeable and experienced in our patents”
