Fabiola is an intellectual property professional with more than 15 years of experience helping businesses protect, strengthen, and commercialise their brands.

She leads the development of Madderns’ Melbourne practice and provides strategic support to clients in Australia, New Zealand and across global markets. Her client base spans start-ups, growing small to medium businesses and global corporations, and she supports them at every stage of the brand lifecycle including filing, prosecution, portfolio management, and enforcement.

Fabiola’s work includes brand clearance searches, trade mark prosecution, oppositions, removal actions, and dispute management. She is known for delivering advice that is strategic and practical, with a focus on outcomes that make commercial sense. Clients value her clarity, responsiveness, and the way she approaches every matter as an extension of their team. Building long term relationships is central to her practice and she is committed to ensuring that clients feel supported, informed and empowered in their brand decisions.

Before joining Madderns, Fabiola held senior roles in prominent private practice firms and served as the Brand Protection Manager for the world’s largest automotive manufacturer. This blend of in house and private practice experience gives her a strong understanding of business priorities and a balanced perspective on both risk and opportunity.

Fabiola is an active contributor to the IP community and currently serves on the International Trademark Association (INTA) Publications Committee. She also maintains a trusted and extensive global network of international associates, which allows her to coordinate effective, efficient, and commercially aligned brand protection strategies for clients in any jurisdiction.

Outside work, Fabiola enjoys Pilates, exploring Melbourne’s coffee scene, true crime podcasts and discovering new music. Her personal mantra is inspired by Hans Christian Andersen: where words fail, music speaks.
