Pratishtah has recently joined Madderns ICT team as a trainee patent attorney and is training to become a Patent and Trade Marks Attorney.
Pratishtah’s technical expertise covers different aspects of biomedical engineering such as signal processing, and medical technology. She has worked on projects involving the analysis and interpretation of ECG and EEG signals while undertaking her Master of Biomedical Engineering at Flinders University. She has also collaborated with prosthetists and orthotists to find the fracture point of materials used in prosthetic devices.
Prior to joining Madderns, Pratishtah spent 4 years pursuing her PhD at the University of South Australia where the focus of her research was to design a rapid and cost-effective method for screening drugs of abuse for onsite application such as roadside and workplace drug testing. During her time in academia, Pratishtah has acquired further technical expertise in analytical chemistry, and material preparation and characterisation techniques.
Pratishtah is passionate about the advances in medical technology and is looking forward to assist scientists, engineers and businesses with their intellectual property needs.
Outside work Pratishtah enjoys reading biographies as well as fiction books. She is an enthusiastic camper who loves road trips and trying out different cuisines.
