Prior to joining Madderns, Gloria worked as a Chinese Patent Attorney in top tier Chinese IP law firms for 10 years and acted for a number of well-known, multi-national companies. During that time, her practice included patent prosecution, drafting patent specifications in Chinese and English, re-examination, and providing advice on infringement and validity.

Gloria studied at Tsinghua University and obtained a Master of Science specialising in materials science. She carried out research on crystallisation behaviour, thermodynamic behaviour, phase morphology and the interfacial effect of polymers under confinement.

Outside of work, Gloria enjoys photography, tennis and cooking.
